Elgin, TX — Elgin Little League is excited to announce that the organization is changing its name to Elgin Baseball & Softball Association (EBSA) and officially transitioning from Little League to PONY Baseball & Softball beginning with the upcoming 2026 season.

The move reflects EBSA’s commitment to providing the best possible baseball and softball experience for local athletes. With PONY, our players will benefit from age-appropriate division structures, expanded competitive play, and significantly more interleague opportunities with surrounding communities—bringing fresh excitement and stronger development pathways for all ages.

Families will see more game variety, more opponents, and more opportunities to grow and compete against nearby towns, all while keeping the local, community-centered spirit that Elgin families value.

“EBSA is committed to building a strong future for baseball and softball in our community,” said the Board. “Our shift to PONY allows us to offer a more flexible, development-focused experience that supports athletes at every level while strengthening connections with surrounding leagues.”
